2016 Burger Fest at Tiger Lane Was AWESOME!

Thank you to everyone who came out to eat burgers, listen to great live music, play cornhole and to support Memphis Paws. This year was one for the record books. With 40 teams competing for the title of Best Memphis Burger, over $6400 was raised from booth donation boxes. As an organization, Memphis Paws committed to matching that dollar amount and making our biggest donations to date. In total, over $16,000 was donated amongst the following charities in 2016:

2014 Burger Fest – A Great Day for Rescues

On September 21, 2014, Memphis Paw successfully held the third annual Best Memphis Burger Fest. This year proceeds from the event benefited Streetdog Foundation, Tunica Humane Society & Fayette County Animal Rescue. 32 teams competed for over $4000 in prizes and trophies along with two entry tickets to the World Food Championships to be held this November in Las Vegas, NV. Teams competed for titles in Best Blood Mary, Best Veggie Burger, Best Anything But Beef Burger, Best Extreme Burger and Best Memphis Burger. In total, over 600 burgers were judged. Additionally, there was live music all day on the Burger Stage, a pickle eating competition for kids and a slider eat-off for a group of 10 fearless eaters.

The big winners of the day, besides the Pirates of the Grillibbean, were the three rescues who will be presented with Festival Donation checks on October 22, 2014 at a private reception.


Memphis Paws, Inc. has filed for non-profit status and has a pending application on file with the US Internal Revenue Service. At this time, donations made to Memphis Paws are not considered tax-exempt.
