2015 Burger Fest at Tiger Lane Was AWESOME!

Yes the weather was difficult, but you still came out to eat burgers, listen to great local music and support Memphis Paws. Because of you, we’ve donated close to $4000 since Burger Fest. Specifically, we wrote checks to Alive Memphis Rescue, Fayette County Animal Rescue, Hearts of Gold Pit Rescue and the Savior Foundation. We’ve also helped several dogs with medical expenses that their owners just couldn’t afford. It may not have been our biggest year, but we’re still here and are happy to help where we can.

2014 Burger Fest – A Great Day for Rescues

On September 21, 2014, Memphis Paw successfully held the third annual Best Memphis Burger Fest. This year proceeds from the event benefited Streetdog Foundation, Tunica Humane Society & Fayette County Animal Rescue. 32 teams competed for over $4000 in prizes and trophies along with two entry tickets to the World Food Championships to be held this November in Las Vegas, NV. Teams competed for titles in Best Blood Mary, Best Veggie Burger, Best Anything But Beef Burger, Best Extreme Burger and Best Memphis Burger. In total, over 600 burgers were judged. Additionally, there was live music all day on the Burger Stage, a pickle eating competition for kids and a slider eat-off for a group of 10 fearless eaters.

The big winners of the day, besides the Pirates of the Grillibbean, were the three rescues who will be presented with Festival Donation checks on October 22, 2014 at a private reception.
